Meeting friends again from our Guatemala time a year before; another friend from Costa Rica had just taken over a retreat place in the hills of Antigua (earthlodgeguatemala.com) — a real civilization-pleaser after jungle time. So much beauty, artsy-fartsy stuff, gardens, good food, lovely people, and all of it still rooted in the native ceremonies and traditions.

More philosophical conversations and sit-in concerts, while I learned to coordinate three or four camera angles and the sound recordings at once — a steep learning curve for the nerd, a fulfilling result for the artist, and a very personal document of a moving time for an intimate friend. Anything else needed to feel fulfilled?
